Daddy was snapping a few shots of Lincoln in the backyard and in the fort they made in the livingroom. He captured some great facial expressions.

February Randomness
I always try to capture snap shots of our every day activities so that I can remember the crazy, fun and chaotic life that we lead. These little guys are growing up so quickly so I have to capture these precious moments.
A trip to the park:
I like how they jumped on and assumed race position. Logan said he was Ben Spies but Lincoln quickly corrected him and said, "no, you're Jorge Lorenzo and I'm Ben Spies!" Given their positions (with Logan leading the race) I'd have to say Lincoln's right.
Lincoln made a cool hat at home out of paper and tape - all on his own.

Logan participated in a cooking class at school:
This probably is not interesting or important to anyone but me but for the first time in my life I actually ate peppers for a snack and liked them. I wasn't a fan of the red pepper but the yellow and orange ones were yummy. Thank goodness for a little light ranch to help them go down too. Milestone for me!
Ricky and I got to have a little stay-cation for a night in Scottsdale. We had a wonderful relaxing and enjoyable time. We even got a little game of tennis in.
Logan and Lincoln both got buzz cuts.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
We found a little hidden treasure in Scottsdale. I had keep hearing about this great park that has a train ride for kids. I don't know why it took us so long to get over there but since we had President's day off we decided to go exploring. It was quite a packed day.
We first went to a quaint little toy shop called Smeeks and then had lunch at Cafe Rio. While at lunch Lincoln told us, "man, this is the best restaurant ever!" From there we headed over the the railroad park. We rode a really adorable train, a carousel, visited the model train exhibit, played on the playground and stopped for a yummy ice cream. The boys had a blast! Logan is into trains right now so I think it was especially fun for him. There is a huge life size train at the entrance to the park that he kept calling the Polar Express. It was super cute. After that we made a quick stop at Ikea - which I always love. We were back home for dinner, baths and bed. It was a great way to spend the holiday!

Valentine's Day
We had a really nice Valentine's day this year. For the first time Logan picked out Valentine's cards to pass out to his class. The boys woke up to find pink, white and red balloons all over the floor on Valentine's day morning. They were so excited to take their Valentine's goodies to school to pass out. While the boys were at school, Ricky and I had a very enjoyable lunch date. In order to avoid the crowds we decided to stay home for dinner and make special pink sugar cookies that we decorated. It was such a nice day and I'm lucky that I got to spend the day with my three loves.
The night before Valentine's day I found this on my pillow when I went to bed. So sweet!
I knew the boys would love to play with the balloons when they found them but I didn't think about how distracting they would be when we were trying to get out the door for school.

The balloons lasted all week!
I was surprised by these on my desk when I walked into my office on V-day morning.
Logan made this little ornament at school as a present for Ricky and me.
I love this artwork that Logan brought home for us. Anything with his hands I think is adorable.
"My hands may be small but my love for you is Big"
As you can see the boys LoVe sprinkles!
Lincoln drew this picture of our family for me as a V-day present.

Adventure With Daddy
While mommy and Lincoln had a nice quiet day at home recovering from the nasty virus that has been going around, Daddy and Logan headed out to Lake Pleasant for the day. Daddy wanted to play around with his camera and Logan just wanted get out of the house! They had a wonderful day...daddy got great pictures and Logan got to throw rocks. The day trip ended with a stop at In-N-Out per Logan's request.
This is Ricky when he was little. As he was taking the above picture of Logan he thought of this picture of him. Logan is like Ricky in the sense that as children they love the outdoors. Not so much for Ricky anymore.
