Happy Easter!

We were lucky enough to get a visit from Uncle Barratt and Aunt Marci for the couple days before Easter. They went with us to the city "Egg-stravaganza" at the local baseball fields. The boys always seem to have a lot of fun gathering a basket full of candy filled eggs from the thousands that they have laying on the fields.  Unfortunately this year there was way too many people and I don't think the city had planned for that large of a crowd.  We all seemed to survive but not sure we'll be going back for that activity for a couple of years.

Sunday morning the boys woke up to their Easter baskets in the living room filled with goodies and toys. Lincoln was super excited but poor Logan wasn't that impressed given he had a low grade fever.  The poor little guy is still getting over his virus and didn't feel very good.  He sat on my lap most of the morning until he decided he wanted chocolate.  Luckily the Easter Bunny didn't bring a ton of candy this year.  Each boy got a couple little toys, a couple treats and a T-shirt.  This year even Ricky and I got Easter baskets.  Nice surprise.  I think we'll have to keep that tradition going.  Ricky scored some new Express jeans and I ended up with a new tennis racket.

After church we had a little egg hunt in the backyard with the eggs that we had colored earlier in the day.  It was quick but fun and the boys seemed to like it.  After a delicious Easter turkey dinner we watched the move "Hop" that Lincoln had gotten from the Easter Bunny that morning.

Overall it was a fun weekend full of activities.  We talked to Lincoln a little bit about the resurrection but I hope one day the boys really understand the real reason we celebrate Easter.  For now it's eggs, candy and the bunny.
