Jon Bon Jovi

Ricky and I had a fun date night earlier this week.  We got to go to the Bon Jovi concert.  I figured he was kind of a classic and since I hadn't seen him in concert I figured we'd go and have a great time.  We met up with some friends for dinner before the convert and then headed over to the stadium. All in all it was a lot of fun and we got to hear some great music.

It's not easy to take good pictures with your phone because they have all the lighting going crazy but this captures the memory for us.

Picnic

One of the boys new favorite things to do is have a picnic.  They ask me almost everyday if we can have a picnic.  Last weekend Ricky was gone for the weekend so I figured it was a good time to have a picnic in the park for one of our activities.  They picked what they wanted to eat and helped me pack it all up. As expected, the boys loved it and even ate all their lunch before going to play on the playground.  Luckily the weather was good.  Not sure how many more picnics we'll be able to fit in considering the heat is settling in quickly.

Arizona Science Museum

I had heard great things about the AZ Science Museum but we never made it a priority to go.  Thanks to a great LivingSocial deal, we scored an annual pass for the cost of one day tickets.  At that price we figured we couldn't g wrong and we needed to check it out.  We spent a little over three hours making our way through the center.  All the displays were very interactive and the boys loved it.  We all had a great time and I'm glad we now have passes so we can go back.
Lincoln played doctor and did the skeleton puzzle.

Logan's tower

The idea was to pull your own weight but lucky for Lincoln mommy helped him out.
Yes, he's laying on a bed of nails.

 Outside water exhibit.
Wheelchair races.  Logan's arms got tired trying to keep up with Lincoln so mommy had to help out.
This was one of my favorite things.  Put your hands on the pad and then the drum will beat at the same pace/rhythm as your own heat beat.
I had to capture a shot of daddy snapping pictures of the boys.

School Work

I could fill an entire room full of the different art projects and school work that the boys bring home.  Instead, I take pictures and toss it - only keeping the most special or important.  Here is what they've done lately.
Lincoln:
"Playing with legos."
 "Bomber. Clone Trooper."
 Spelling test

Logan made dirt/mud pie complete with a gummy worm to go along with the critter theme.

Girls Night Out - Debbie's Birthday

I am really lucky to have a great group of friends.  This is the fab 5 - Bam Bam, Kristy, Debbie, Kareth and me. We all play tennis together but we also get together off the court for girls night out about once a month.  This month we were celebrating Debbie's birthday. We took some pictures at Bam's and headed for a delicious dinner at Cheesecake Factory.  It was a fun night and great celebration with wonderful friends.

Birthday girl!

Logan

Logan loves to be outside.  It doesn't really matter what he's doing - he just likes to be out. Last week he and I walked to the park to play for a bit. We had a great time. I'm impressed at how much more he can physically do then last spring time.  He's growing up!

It's no surprise that Logan loves vacuums so this isle at Costco was by far his favorite.  He wheeled the display vacuums up and down the isle and was so mad when it was time to go.
He was happy to pose with the vacuum for a picture. I hope his love for vacuums doesn't fade by the time he will actually be required to vacuum as part of his chores.

Bugs

Logan is learning about bugs and insects in school right now.  Everyday last week he brought home a different bug that he made.  The irony of it all is that last week, after living here almost four years, for the first time we found three scorpions on our property. (We did have one last Thanksgiving but it was tracked in on Logan's shoe and it was dead.) Maybe a little extra real life learning for Logan? I wasn't happy about it.  Lincoln actually found the one in the garage. Luckily they're smart boys and I don't worry too much about them finding one and not telling us.  The bug guys came the next day and sprayed again and we haven't seen another one since.  Hopefully it stays that way.
