Landscaping

We have been waiting a couple of months to get our landscaping in. Unfortunately we had to wait (and fight with) the HOA and wait for the landscaper to be available but we finally started our landscaping. Last weekend we poured the driveway to the RV garage in the backyard. This weekend, they poured the driveway to the RV garage in the front yard. They also started planting our plants, contouring the yard and getting ready for the turf. It already is starting to feel a lot more like home. We are so glad to be done with a dirt front yard.

We put the boys prints in the cement. They weren't quite sure what they were getting into but now they love to see it when they go outside.

Flashback

My sisters were in California last week helping my mom sort through boxes of stuff they are trying to get out of storage since their recent move to La Habra. Though out the week I would receive random text messages with different pictures from my childhood and also from memorabilia from my mom’s days pre-children. I had figured all that type of stuff was long gone since I had never seen some the pictures or her wedding dresses before so it was a bit shocking and interesting. Anyway, I’ve seen it now and of couse have to document it here.
This is my Grandpa Eppich. Not my blood grandpa but I knew him as my grandpa since I was a baby.
My sister Michaela with my biological father Michael. I would say they are a little bit alike.

More high school year book. I think she rocked the cute bob cut quite well.

Having Fun

Despite being a fairly picky eater, I actually like to try new places. I especially like when we can have a fun experience or atmosphere at a restaurant. Lincoln got straight A’s last quarter so we used that as a reason to go to a fun dinner at Hayashi Japanese grill. We got seats right at the chef’s grill and told the boys they were in for a fun show. I was so impressed with how well both boys did sitting, watching and eating. They both tried the mushroom soup, had edamame, grilled vegetables (including onions and zucchini), chicken, rice, noodles and salad. They ate like champs (which doesn’t happen often) and enjoyed the show. They even carried on conversation with the couple sitting next to us at the grill. It turned out to be a very successful family night out.
Momma and my boys
The boys were impressed with the show - especially the rings of fire.
We watched Shannon's playoff softball game.
Yes, that is Logan....my adorable clown.
 Playing in Daddy's studio.
Logan got to do date night with Daddy so they went to their favorite...Five Guys!
For our family night we watched a movie and the boys got to make their own ice cream sundaes....complete with chocolate, M&M's, whipped cream, cherries and caramel. They were pretty happy boys.
Our sweet little friend Sadie Schreiber turned 5 and invited us to Pump it Up
