Logan's First Tball Game

Our adorable little league player had his first game on Saturday.  I can't believe how stinkin' cute he is in his little uniform that is about three sizes too big. I could tell that he was a little apprehensive about what was in store for him as we tried to explain the difference between a practice and a game to him. Once we got to the field and he saw his coach and his friends he jumped right in.  We are so proud of him. He did a great job and even played first base for the entire first inning (which is a lot when they only play two innings in the hour long game).  He had two solid lefty hits during his turn at bat. I was so glad daddy was there to capture some of the great moments during the game. Lincoln also came along to support his brother...and to play mine craft with his friends. Overall this has so far been a great experience for him and something he's quite good at.  My favorite part of the entire day is when we were walking out to the car after his game and he said, "Mom, that was amazing. Can we do it again next time?" So sweet. Logan has always loved to be outside and is very active so I see a lot of sporting events in our future.
This is Logan walking to home plate for his first "at-bat."
This ended up being a line drive past first base.
 Running to second base.
Arriving at second base and ensuring the dust is bounced off the base.
Running from second to third and watching the action near the pitcher and home plate.
 Fielding at first base.
Our little number 9 on third base anticipating his run home.
Running home for the score!!

Official Uniform

Our little leaguer has been issued his uniform for this season. It's a bit big but I think it makes it even cuter.  Daddy snapped a few studio shots of our future Hall of Famer.

Spring Break Fun

This week was Spring break for the boys. I had to work but we made a point to take the boys out each day for some activities.  They helped Ricky was the car, they went to the park, to the indoor playground center, fun dinner dates, went to the gym a couple times, went to Chuck E Cheese, played outside and a few other fun things.
The day before spring break, Lincoln's class had a field trip to the movies. I volunteered to go along and was so excited to share in that experience with him. I didn't ride the big bus with him but I met him at the theater and we had a great time.

Lincoln and I went to a place where you pick and paint your pottery. Lincoln painted a little monster.
Dinner date with Mommy at Red Robin.

March School Work

Here are some of the school assignments that were either completed or we received back this month.

Keeping Busy

There is always something going on around the house for our family. If we're not running from place to place for sports, school or errands than we have plenty to do at home. Here are a couple of pictures to capture some of the activities.
The boys now have chore charts. On top of his normal chores, Logan decided he wanted to help me load the dishwasher. I was happy to let him help and this is what I got. He was pretty proud.
10-4. I got to get out last week for a little adventure.  I went on a swing shift ride along with a local police department.  We have a friend on the force and he arranged for me to go. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire night so that was a drag but I still got to see a lot.  Some of the calls included a traffic accident, an arrest for a warrant, a car impounded for someone driving with a suspended license, a burglary, a suspicious vehicle, a traffic stop and lastly a fight in progress where an extremely drunk man was arrested. There is something about police work that intrigues me, excites me and brings a sense of satisfaction. I may have missed my calling so a ride along every now and again helps me get my lights and sirens fix.
Girls lay out their cute outfits and little boys lay out their battle gear.  Lincoln and Logan both did this without any direction for us. They were so excited to show us what they had accomplished. All three levels of stairs were covered with some sort of gear.

Daddy was working out in the yard and his helper, Logan was out with him. I saw Logan in this pose and asked him what he was doing. His reply, "I'm pumping up my head."
There's at least one episode of battle gear dress up every day.
Ricky and I got out for a date night last week and he took me to Garcia's.  Everyone says it's the best Mexican food in town.  I liked it but unfortunately it's quite a drive from our place so I think we'll stick with the local eateries next time.

I was sitting on the couch cuddling with Lincoln a couple of days ago when he asked me, "When you die, can I have your purse and all your money?"  I laughed, was a bit shocked and then told him yes, but he has to split it with his brother.  I couldn't believe he's already planning for an inheritance!

Logan's Tball

Logan started his first day of Tball earlier this week. He's been waiting a while for it to actually start so there was a lot of anticipation and excitement on his part. For it being his first sport he listened to coach and interacted really well with his teammates. There's still a lot to work on but he's got a whole season to learn.  It was really fun for us to watch him - he is adorable.  We've practiced batting, throwing and catching but had never practiced running bases so that was new for him.  When he was on base he would either sit down or spin himself in circles so by the time he had to run he would be really dizzy. Overall he did a great job and we are very proud of him.  Here's to an awesome season to come!

Rainy Day Fun

We got a day of rain last week and the boys were excited to go outside and play in it.  They splashed in the puddles, ran through the gutter and tried to catch the rain drops in their mouth. They only lasted about 15-20 minutes outside before they were too cold and wet and wanted to come inside. They were pretty cute while it lasted but then they came in for a warm shower and some yummy lunch.
