Who Needs Sleep?

Me! It's no secret that Ricky and I are not morning people.  Somehow I don't believe I will ever get used to getting up before 7:00 am - and even that's early.  Logan has become our own little alarm clock and he seems to be stuck on 6:00 am.  Like clockwork he's been waiting up at 6:00 am for the last month or so.  It's too early for me!  He drinks a bottle and then everyday I hope that he will go back to bed for at least an hour.  Everyday I leave his room with him in my arms because he is wide awake and wants to go downstairs.  Luckily I have the best husband ever and he's been taking morning duties for while.  After I feed Logan, Ricky takes him downstairs so I can get another hour of sleep before work.

Every once in a while we get thrown a curve ball.  Last night the poor little guy had us both up at 3:00 am because he was throwing up and had a 100.6 fever.  He had his 15 month shots yesterday (I know, we're a month late on those) and I think he's had a reaction to them. Needless to say, Ricky and I are walking around today half asleep.

Lincoln sleeps really well for the most part.  He will get up once a week or so in the middle of the night and come into our room because his legs hurt.  From best we can tell it's because he's growing so tall so quickly that we think it's growing pains. At least he will come in our bed and go back to sleep.

I have a feeling I will enjoy their teenage years when they want hours and hours of sleep.  I think I will be able to handle that just fine.
Lincoln likes to watch a couple shows in our bed while he eats his bed snack.  Logan decided to join him last night.  This doesn't really happen because Logan doesn't like TV.  I think he may have just been there for the wheat thins.
It's so fun to just relax on the bed with the boys.  Rick and I laughed because it's a sacrifice...salt, crumbs, and chocolate milk spills end up in our bed.  Oh well, that's what you deal with as a parent for your children to be happy.
Because he wasn't feeling well yesterday he was quite cuddly.  I'm sad that he's feeling terrible but love when he cuddles!

I love that Logan is wearing his jammies that we got him last summer! Both boys look so snuggly and cuddly on your bed. Mom says once they are teenagers and old enough to sleep in, you'll never be able to get them out of bed. Haha.
