We stayed at the MGM Grand and was able to get a wheelchair there. I didn't want Stacey to have to push me all over Vegas so we taxied over to the Monte Carlo, ate dinner there and went to see the Blue Man Group. In all the shows I've seen, I had never seen the Blue Man Group before. I thought it was a great show. There wasn't as much drumming as I had expected. The show was about 50% drumming and 50% comedy. I thought it was very entertaining.
Thursday was a full day or work but that evening, after our job fair, we went to Serendipity restaurant on the strip. It was a fun atmosphere and had YUMMY desserts. I missed the boys a lot and can't wait to take them back there. They would all really like it.
Friday was work and my flight home. It was a lot of work to travel with crutches and wheelchairs but I made it. It was a very humbling and eye opening experience at times. The best thing is that by Thursday I was able to start walking on my foot for a little while at a time. It's been so nice to start weening myself off of the crutches but I'm not done with them yet. I'm hoping that by my next appointment on Thursday to get my stitches out that I'll be walking crutch free. Who knows. We'll have to wait and see.
I lucked out and was able to elevate and ice my foot the whole way to Vegas.
Nothing like strolling the strip in a wheelchair with my crutches.
One day if enough of us get together we can splurge and spend the $1000 Golden Opulence Sundae at Serendipity.
Stacey got a chocolate mint sundae.
I got a strawberry cheesecake sundae and was sick from sugar overload before I got halfway through it. I would do it again though...so yummy and a fun place to eat.
