Grammy Turns 60!

Mom made it clear a long time ago that she wanted a family reunion style birthday for her 60th.  She wanted everyone to just hang out at her house, play games, eat and take family pictures...and that's what we did. Six out of the eight kids were there along with mom's best friend, Aunt Alice and her cousins Jenny and Patrick. She even had a couple of neighbors come for dinner. Lincoln kept busy the entire day playing with Caden and Vance.  Logan mostly did his own thing (i.e. running around everywhere) and we all just hung out.  The boy did swim for a bit with Talicee and Grammy too.  It was a nice day and we all managed to get along without any major drama.  That's good for my family.

Sunday morning we all went to church together as a request from mom.  That's what she really wanted as a birthday present.  Once that was over we headed back to our hotel to check out and head home.  The trip went about as good as we planned for it to go.  The boys were sad when we had to leave to come home but they both slept really good last night in their own beds so I'm glad we're home.
Logan had a great time playing with tape and Uncle Tevye.

Auntie Genesis and Uncle Forrest spoiled the boys with a bag full of goodies which made the time at the hotel and drive home much more fun.  Lincoln had everything GI Joe themed.
Logan got SpongeBob and Bubble Guppies themed toys.
In the hot tub with Aunt Talicee.
Grammy was helping to teach Logan to swim, which he did with his floaties on.
Mom blowing out candles with her friend from who's birthday it also was that day.
