Shanghai Convention

Our first couple of days in Shanghai we attended the Children's, Maternity, Baby Expo. We were at a booth with our Chinese distributors representing Baby Banana Brush. We had a good time trying to play charades and use simple English to talk through the products with those that attended the booth. We decided it was easiest if we stood out in front of the booth, smiled, looked American and attracted people to the booth.  Once there, we ushered the guests into the booth where workers were waiting that could actually communicate with them.

Ricky and I quickly realized that we had become a photo op. We must have had our pictures taken approximately 3,000 times over the course of the two days. There were many times throughout the day that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. There were plenty of times where I tried to smile and it just wasn't cute because I had already been smiling so much my cheeks weren't cooperating. Some people jumped in the pictures with us while others just took pictures of us.  For the most part people were very nice and polite but there were several odd folks and I even a few creepy stalkers too. Some girls just wanted pictures of Ricky or with Ricky. Soon we were all over the Chinese version of Twitter. It made for two REALLY long days but it was a good experience and hopefully we were able to bring a lot of attention to the Baby Banana Brush.

One of Serene's employees.  She was fantastic to work with and also reminds me of one of the characters on the TV show House.

Mark and Serene took us around town to see a few different stores that carry the Baby Banana Brush product. Ricky with the BBB and BBBT inside a local baby store in the mall.
This is a BBB display inside a local grocery store.
Another baby store that carries the BBB.
It was a surreal feeling to see my little Logan on the package of a product sitting on the shelf halfway across the world from where we live.  It was really fun to see that.  We told the employees at the store and they got a real kick out it.
