Logan Turned 4

My baby boy has now turned 4! For one we we had a 4 and a 5 year old. As parents, we realize that we won't have a three year olds any more...that stage of our life is done.  In many ways I'm excited that Logan's four.  I've seen a big improvement in his vocabulary, his maturity and his overall demeanor. He's getting so tall and definitely coming into his own. He is such a sweet boy and he still has quite the sense of humor.  I love when at random moments throughout the day he will just blurt out "Mom, I love you."

Logan is really good at using his manors like please, thank you, excuse me and bless you.  He even blesses himself when he sneezes. Super cute. He is a ball of energy. Logan pretty much runs everywhere he goes.  Walking seems to be like torture for him. Every night he still cuddles up with his blankets and wants to sleep with mom or dad. He definitely thinks he's brave and on most accounts, he is.  He loves roller coasters and is often really mad when he's not tall enough to ride the biggest rides. Getting Logan to sit in primary has been a struggle for most of the year although, it's been much better the last couple of months.

Nicknames that we use for him is Bubba, Logos, Logos-Maestros Bistros, Brother and love bug. Logan's love for outdoors is still as evident now as it was when he could start to walk.  Any chance he gets to go out he takes it. Logan is obsessed with trains.  He loves all types of trains, train tracks, monorails, arms that go up and down for the train, bridges or tunnels that the trains go through - seriously, all things trains related. He also still likes trash trucks and recycle trucks but thankfully the fascination with the trash cans themselves seems to be slowly fading out.  Favorite foods are pepperoni pizza, macaroni and cheese, tomato soup, muffins, dried apples, apple sauce, all fruit and anything sweet.  Logan loves his music loud and he's always up for a good dance party too!

Lincoln and Logan for the most part are starting to get a long better.  There is still the daily brother fight over who has what toy or someone making a noise the other one doesn't like but they actually play together now.  Logan loves to follow Lincoln around.  They are boys who like to be ruff and tumble; although that only lasts a little while until inevitably one of them gets hurt. It seems that no matter what mean thing Lincoln does to him, Logan can resist being with him.  You can tell that he really loves his brother, he just has a funny way of showing it sometimes.

We're so blessed to have Logan in our family.  He is definitely a mama's boy - and that's fine by me!!  I look forward to his continued growth, development, the chance to keep loving him and the memories we get to create together!

This kid loves sugar. He thought he was pretty funny when he turned his lips blue with a Fun Dip.
One of my favorite things is when my boys sit on my lap to cuddle. In this case Logan sat with me to watch a TV show and eat his apple for bed snack. Special moment for mommy.
