Our flight home from London was the best flight that I've ever had. We were the lucky recipients of a free first class upgrade. That's right...we were flyin' comfy in the sleeper beds with a four course meal, constant drinks, warm cookie service and room to spread out. It think we enjoyed it even more since we didn't have to pay for it. Being a medallion member finally paid off! Ricky and I both slept for several hours, enjoyed some movies, read and just relaxed.

Sleeping in his fully reclined sleeper bed.
I loved having a huge, thick and warm blanket. Little airplane blankets usually don't do much to keep you warm and comfortable but this one was perfect. Yes, that is the co-pilot sitting next to the window across the isle from me. He and the pilot took turns sleeping and relaxing in that chair throughout the flight.
Being the picky eater I am, I don't typically like much of the airplane food that is served. Nobody usually does. I've flown first class domestically before and the food doesn't ever seem all that much better to me but this time was different and I was actually impressed. It was the best airplane food I've had. First course - salad and bread.
Second course - antipasta appetizer
Main course - chicken over pasta, potatoes and veggie garnish.
I had a sundae for dessert and Ricky had an apple cobbler. Yummy. We got pretty spoiled. Unfortunately for our flight from ATL to PHX it was back to reality...coach seating.
