San Francisco

It's no secret that I love to travel and it's especially great when you get to travel with fun friends. I had the opportunity to travel with some girlfriends to San Francisco for a little get away over Memorial Day weekend. My friend Bam Bam had never been to SF and had always wanted to go so we made it happen. We had a great time, enjoyed beautiful weather (a bit cold the first two days) and we crammed in a lot in the few days we were there.  To sum the weekend up....we ate, we walked, we shopped and we laughed.  Successful trip!
Kareth, Bam Bam (Kim) and me on the plane to SF. I had no idea they were both so terrified of take offs.
 China Town

It seemed like there was a BofA on every corner. This one was the coolest.

My all time favorite crepe place is on Pier 39. I admit that I felt bad eating there without Ricky because I know he loves them too so I just sent him this picture instead.
Kareth and Bam doing their best Sea Lion impersonation.
Yes, there is a sign at the bottom of the hill that says "Caution: 90 degree angle" and yes, we walked up it. I tried to persuade them to ride the cable car but we sucked it up and made the hike up Hyde street for about four blocks up hill to Lombard.

 Walking down Lombard's switchback curves.
I had never been to Haight/Ashbury district before but Bam really wanted to go so it was neat to see all of that for the first time.
This pink house is where Janice Joplin lived at one point in the Haight/Ashbury district.
We went to the Japanese Gardens in Golden Gate Park

We rode our Big Red Tour Bus over the bridge to Sausalito Island. Unfortunately it took us close to two hours to make it from Golden Gate Park to the lookout point because of traffic so by the time we got there we were sun burned, starving and anxious to get off the bus.

On Sausalito island we had some of the best ice cream I've ever had. We got a fresh waffle cone and sat on the rock near the water and enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful view of the ocean.
View over San Fran on our flight home.
While I was away, the boys got a special treat.  They had three girl cousins (Erica, Sadie and Esme) come with Tutu's to visit for a couple of days.  They had a wonderful time and Daddy appreciated the extra help.

Last Day of School

The boys are officially done with school.  Lincoln was pretty excited but poor Logan was trying to comprehend what that exactly meant.  When we told him that he wasn't going to be in Mrs. Cubillas' class anymore, he got sad. He wasn't thrilled to have his picture taken and I think it's because he was internalizing what the last day of school really entailed.  Luckily they both had a fun short last day of school and now we can have some summer fun!

May Misc.

The boys get out of school pretty early in May so it's been a combination of fun activities and just hanging out around the house. It's some of these random fun times that are my favorite memories.

The boys used a money note pad I had to make their own "dollars."

We went to Chuck E Cheese with our friends Dylan and Sadie and had a great time as always.

Logan's t-ball game at 8 acres field.

Yep, he's eating from a massive bucket of cheese balls.  The boys have been begging me for weeks to get this every time we go to Sam's Club...I finally gave in.
Daily dress up attire.
Lincoln earned the Eye of the Tiger award and will soon be getting his new patch for his uniform.
For a fun activity one day we went to Peter Piper Pizza to play a few games.
I got to spend a fun evening with the girls celebrating Kyla's birthday.  We got pedicures and a yummy dinner at a local steakhouse.
Shermeka organized the night and I was glad I got to go and share in the evening with them.
Since we've already consistently hit temperatures over 100 degrees we decided it would be a good time to get some swimming in.
Lincoln is my little fish. He has no fear of water...which is a little scary.
Logan is a little more hesitant around water but by the time we were done he was all over the pool.
