Idaho - Part 1

A six week trip to Idaho is hard to capture in just one blog post but I will do my best to condense our time to a few postings. This year our visit to Idaho was a little different because there was way more cousin time than in previous years. Erica and Sadie were there for the first few weeks we got there, then Esme and Penny were up for a bit and there was also a few days with Marissa, Mallory, Nathan and Austin. The boys attended their summer camp school again at Grace Lutheran and enjoyed having their cousins attend with them.  Ricky stayed busy moving Live-Right out of their Pocatello office and I was as busy as ever with my new assignment at work.

We managed to still squeeze in a lot of fun activities around the house such as launching rockets, playing Boggle and the train game, picnics on the balconies, walks with the dogs on the mountain, driving the green machines and lots more.  We also attended the annual 4th of July parade, made a quick trip to SLC with the boys, saw a few movies, went to Outer Limits and the cleaning museum.

In an effort to practice for the upcoming tennis tournament I was in, I got in a really good tennis drills practice and the country club and followed that up with another practice (five days before our trip) in which I jumped, landed wrong and injured my ankle pretty badly. Not. Fun. I was quite mad at myself. It was my first time for a sports injury in all these years and the timing couldn't be worse. I ended up being on crutches for six days and limping for a weeks after that. Still a month later I am having pain and swelling - not good.

As Ricky and I usually do, we took a trip within our trip.  We left the boys with Tutu's and headed to Seattle for a couple days and then on to a seven day cruise to Alaska! I had never been to Seattle and neither of us had ever cruised before.  It was a much needed and very exciting vacation for us. More to come on that later.

Here is our first batch of photos from activities around Tutus house.
It's tradition for us to always stop at the In-N-Out in Kingman on the way up and the way back.  This time Lincoln asked for the hats for both him and Logan. These are two of my favorite pictures from our whole trip! Too cute!

They love the gummy food candies so this year again I got them a package each to have on the way up.  This was their gummy pizza they are showing off.

St. George is our halfway stopping point for the first day and we try to stay at the same hotel each time. The boys love hotels and can be a bit wound up after being in the car all day.  We let them bounce around for a bit but Logan was not happy that we wouldn't let them push each other off the ottoman so he had a little pouting session. That is part of life at this stage of the game.
The boys slept in the double pull out together and did really well. It once again was a successful stop for us.
