Our first stop was Seattle, WA! I had never been there so we crammed as much as we could in during our short stay there. I think we hit a lot of the major attractions and saw most all we wanted to see.
View from the top of the Space Needle.
Looking Northwestfrom the needle. View of the port our ship left from.
Looking southwest from the needle.

It wasn't in our original plans to take the duck tour but because I was limited in how much I could walk, we decided it would be a good way for us to see the city. I was proud of Ricky for being a good sport and quacking his duck call throughout the tour.
Riding the duck on Lake Union.
In keeping with tradition we found a cupcake shop to try. Unfortunately it was a big tease because they looked so much better than they tasted.
We tried three and two of the three were hardly worth eating. The frosting wasn't sweet at all. The red velvet was good but this overall was a strikeout.
Pike Place Market was also a bust to me. It something you see once and could go without seeing again. If I lived there, and liked seafood, then I would go again but otherwise somewhere I think we'd skip.
Ricky and I had a pretty good laugh when we had a flashback to the 90's when we saw this pay phone. Who knew those still existed!?!
I was in desperate need for a pedicure but with my injured ankle, I didn't have the opportunity to get one prior to our trip. Luckily for me we had a little extra time before we boarded the ship for me to stop in a local Seattle nail salon. Everything was perfect until she massaged my hurt foot, with force, and I about jumped out of the chair. That is a great example of how a language barrier could cause a bit of a problem.
Genesis and Forest came to pick us up from our cruise and spent the day with us before we headed back to Idaho.
They live just north of the city so they took us up to their house and we took a tour of their property on their quad.
Forest works for Boeing and they took us on a tour of the factory. It was fascinating to watch these giant planes being assembled, one right after the next. The facility was pretty amazing and it was definitely worth the time to take the tour. It was extra nice to have Forest's insight.
Lunch at the marina. Delicious food and a great view.
Yes, this is the tiny plane we boarded to fly back to Idaho from SLC.
