Kindergarten was great in many ways for Logan. He had an incredible teacher who does an amazing job with the kids. Mrs. Coronado was the perfect match for Logan. He also got to be in class with his best friends from two years of pre-K. A great little group of boys (and a few girls) that made him laugh, accepted him for him and sometimes even helped get him in trouble.
Logan definitely wasn't interested in learning when he started the year but by the end of the year, he knew addition and subtraction facts, about 100 sight words, was reading level one short books and has gotten excited about spelling. I am so proud of him and what he has accomplished this last year.
A couple days before school was out, they held a nice Kindergarten graduation ceremony. The kids wore cap and gowns while they sang songs, walked the stage to get a diploma and took turns telling the audience what they wanted to be when they grow up. It was no surprise that Logan said he wanted to be a train driver. He was absolutely adorable. It was a proud mommy moment.
Next year most of his friends are moving to a new school. We are not sure where Logan will be at for school because we are on the wait list for a few schools. I am so glad that he had such a positive, wonderful, year in kindergarten and now my baby boy is moving on up.
Pre-ceremony so he didn't have his tassel yet.

Of course Logan was in the back because he is so tall. Luckily he was close to the end of the row.
Braxton and Logan
Proud brother.
After the ceremony, Logan came straight down from the stage to give Daddy a big hug.

Proud family there to support Logan.
After the graduation we headed to Yogurtini to celebrate. Turns out we weren't the only ones with that idea as there were a dozen or more other kinder families there also.
