It happened to work out perfectly that the Savage side of the family was hosting a luncheon in SLC for Natalee and Toby since many of them wouldn't be able to make the Wednesday wedding in San Diego. The date of that was just when we were on our way home to AZ and would already be driving right through SLC. We stopped at Schmidt's Bakery for the lunch and visited with a bunch of the Savage family that we haven't seen for a while.
After lunch we continued on to our normally stopping point in St. George. Logan had lost a tooth a the luncheon so he put it under his pillow at the hotel and the Tooth Fairy was able to find us and deliver a dollar to him in exchange for his tooth. In the morning, Logan saw the St. George Temple from our hotel room and asked if we could drive to it so he could see it closer. We made a short stop there before hitting the freeway so we could get out take some pictures and walk around the temple grounds. The night we got home, we immediate unpacked and put everything away because I had to be at work the next day. That night we were hit with our first monsoon of the season. They had been happening a lot while we were gone but that was the first one we experienced. Our pool was over capacity and a tree out front was knocked down but other than that, we survived the monsoons.
After being gone for a month, it was sure nice to be home!
