Random Pictures

Here are a few little things I wanted to remember.

Lincoln gets to pick a treasure from the treasure box at school on Friday's when he turns in his homework.  He has been collecting these little aliens.  I took this picture midweek last week but since then (last Friday) he brought home his fourth alien.  I asked him what he was going to do with all of them and he said, "play with them."  Duh, mom.  I should've known.
Ricky moved all of the living room furniture around and build the boys this fort.  Lincoln loved it - Logan wasn't so sure about it.  The tube was the only way in and out. They even took it flashlights to see around.
This is how you know you have a cool dad.
Every Saturday and Sunday around the desert you can see 10- 20 hot air balloons in the sky.  I think it's fascinating to see.  I only had my iphone camera last week when I saw these and on here they look like tiny black marks so I'll have to get a better picture.  I still wanted to capture it because I think it's beautiful to see.
Lately I've been wanting to make new treats.  I saw something similar to this online and thought I would try it.  It's mint bark.  I used Andes mints with milk and white chocolate.  It was really easy to make and I thought it was appropriate for March since it had green in it.  Lincoln loved it and was quick to tell Ricky that he doesn't like mint but mommy, him and Logan do.
I tried a new sugar cookie recipe this weekend too.  Lincoln loves to help me bake things so it's a good project for us to do together.  His favorite thing about making cookies is testing the frosting.  Sticking with a St. Patrick's Day theme we went with shamrocks and green.  Luckily our neighbors like treats to.  I send Ricky to each of their houses with a plate of goodies each time we make something. I have to admit, these were pretty delicious.

Yum. Those look good. You will have to send me the recipe for the mint bark.
