What is This?

Ricky was dejunking his office and came across this little antique.  He put it in the box to throw out and Lincoln quickly discovered it. He asked us what it was and after we explained that it was a tape player he wanted to listen to it.  The problem is, we don't have any tapes.  We only had it because Ricky used it for court reporting classes.

Over the next couple of days, when he realized he wasn't going to hear music on it, it quickly evolved into a pretend camera.  I was impressed.  If you look at it as if it really were a camera it makes sense. The tape area is the lens, the red button snaps the picture...just get into the mind of a child.  I thought it was pretty clever the first time he held it up to his eye and said, "say cheese!"

When's the last time anyone listened to music on one of these??
Lincoln is explaining to his friend Bryce how a tape player works.  Of course, Bryce had never seen one before either.  Oh, you gotta love technology!

That is too funny. I am feeling super old after reading this post. Its true--no one has cassette tapes anymore, but we all still have the players! Hahaha. Lincoln has such a great imagination!
