The Manhattan temple was closed for cleaning so we couldn't go inside but it was fun to see it.
This is the only temple that I know of that is attached to other buildings and right on a street corner. Most of the time they are on a large piece of land separated from all of the business of everyday life.
This sign made me think of my little guys and I was hoping Daddy was surviving with them.
I was referred to this bakery by a co-worker (my boss) and she raved how good it was so we had to try it. I got a red velvet cupcake that was just okay but the vanilla buttercream frosting was really good.
Calee got a chocolate cupcake that unfortunately was really dry and not that delish. I would try somewhere else next time.

Talicee was navigating and we ended up taking the subway to Harlem. We looked around the subway at one point and realized we were definitely not in the right place. We ended up on an express train so we missed our stop. We jumped off at the first stop and jumped back on the subway heading the right direction. That was an interesting experience that I won't forget anytime soon.

The Natural History Museum is where the movie "Night at the Museum" takes place. We got to the museum about 20 minutes before they closed. We decided that was wanted to see everything pertinent to the movie so we made a mad dash for it. Teddy Roosevelt statue was under construction and Sacajawea isn't actually in the museum - they added that for the movie. This is what else we found...
The crazy monkeys...
Dum-Dum...
This looks like Octavious and the little people but it's not really. I just had to take this picture because only in a museum would you see a display like this. I busted up laughing. Not that history is funny but that they would show it in this way.
Central Park
Alice in Wonderland statue on the east side of Central Park.
Dylan's Candy Bar was a huge three story candy store. It had every kind of candy you could imagine. It even had an ice cream parlor on one floor too.
This portrait is made entirely out of jelly beans. This is Dylan Lauren - daughter of Ralph Lauren and owner of Dylan's Candy Bar. It was a really fun place and I would recommend it.
The first day we were in NYC we bought some tickets from a street vendor for a comedy show at Dangerfield's. We were a little leery at first but figured it would be a good deal if everything turned out to be legit....which it was. We ended up eating dinner there and the show went for 2.5 hours.
Quentin Meggs was the MC and Ryan Rees was my favorite comedian. There were five comedians that all did a set. The first one was terrible and I was worried it was going to be a long night. He was not funny. Luckily the other four were absolutely hilarious and we had a great time. This was Talicee's first time to a comedy club and she seemed to enjoy it.
Us with the MC on the left and the guy who sold us the tickets on the right. Since the show was on the upper east side and we had a little walk to the subway he walked us to where we needed to be. I think he had a little something for Talicee but either way they were sure nice and a lot of fun!
