The Houses of Parliament was one of my favorite places to see. It was very educational and fun to see something in person that you've seen only on TV. We were there on a Saturday so they were not in session but the benefit of that is we got to go on the floor of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It was quite an amazing and ornate building, both inside and out. There were two weddings happening inside while we were on our tour. It was fun to see the ladies all dress up with their fascinators and all. Of course, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside (I don't know why considering it's televised when in session!) but we did spend time capturing the view of the outside.
Starting with the best picture. This is a shot Ricky captured. That pretty much sums it up. =)
Capturing Ricky do what he does.
Immediately prior to our tour we were able to snap a picture from the front side entrance of the building.
Inside the lobby area - this is the only place inside we were allowed to take pictures.
Big Ben, London Eye, black taxi's and red double decker bus all in the same scene...that is classic London for you.
