Last year when we went to Universal Studios we bought passes that were goo through 2015 so we decided that we would get another trip in before they expired. This time we were going to meet up with Auntie Calee, Uncle Tony and Auntie Michaela for the afternoon so we could spend some time with them. The morning wasn't too crowded and we got most of the rides done early. The weather was lovely, the boys got along nicely and we really had a great day. This time we tried the Bart Simpson ride so that we could experience everything in the park at least once. The boys loved it, I was not a fan.
Lincoln got $40.00 in birthday money and thought he had struck it rich! It was awesome to see how excited he was. They had to buy their souvenirs on this trip with their own money so they were very careful in how they spent it. Lincoln ended up buying a Harry Potter wand.
The minions.
This dinosaur was amazing to watch. It was loud and looked very real. Logan was a bit scared and didn't want to ride the Jurassic ride (which was his favorite and something he's been looking forward to) because the dinosaur scared him. He got over it, after a tantrum, rode the ride and loved it....just as he did the first three times he rode it.
My kids have never watched the Simpsons so they didn't know who he was but since we went on the ride they got their picture with him.
Lincoln went on this ride by himself. It made me very nervous to think that he's old enough to ride rides by himself. He said he would rather ride in his own car than to come with Logan and me. My baby is growing up.
An employee gave Logan this minion magnet for his birthday and he LOVED it. It felt so special and he carried it all around the park and whipped it out for pictures throughout the day.
This is the Jabbawockeez mask from a performance they did the night before. I was bummed we missed them but the boys thought the mask was pretty cool.
Auntie Michaela loves Harry Potter and bonded with Lincoln over it since he recently watched the first two movies of the series. They were wishing Harry Potter land was open but not until 2016.
Backlots of the Universal Studios Tram ride.
Lincoln, Calee and Tony on the tram ride.
We couldn't go by the big lake on the tram ride because they were filming a new movie. I can't wait to see what it will be. It had a full size US Airways airplane in the shot with a very large boat of some kind. I wish we could've seen more of the active set but it was exciting to see the little we did.
Selfie on Jurassic Park ride before we all got wet.
Logan did not want to get wet and he also didn't want the giant T-rex to bite down on his head so he made Ricky and I cover his head up through the ride. He was pretty funny.
This is their, we got wet, faces.
