Birthday Trip to Disneyland

We spent Monday, November 9th in Disneyland, celebrating the boys birthdays. It was just me, the boys and Grammy. Despite the drama I experienced from working here for five years, this is still my favorite place to spend time with the boys. We got to the gates of the park pretty early, before opening, snapped a few selfies while we waited for Grammy to show up. Our family was picked as one of two families to open the park that morning! It was such a special treat to be able to do that. We almost missed the opportunity because Grammy was coming separately, behind schedule, and she had to sign us in. Luckily for us, the opening was delayed so Grammy made it just in time and they let her sign us in after the opening.  It turned out to be so neat. The boys got special time with Pluto, we got pictures of the entrance with nobody else in them, and we got to do the countdown to open the gates. Our job was to yell, "Let the Magic Begin! 10...9...8...down to 0."  It was pretty awesome!
Me and my adorable boys!
Logan took this picture of Lincoln and me.

 We are opening the park!
At one point Logan ran off to look at the train. This is one of my favorite all time pictures.

The boys got to walk across the town square holding Minnie's hand and they were first in line to get pictures with her.
Those cheeks aren't red for nothing.

Lincoln on Big Thunder Mountain with Grammy. He had his hands up almost the entire time.
We got soaked! The boys really wanted to do this ride. Logan was hiding in my lap the best he could so that he wouldn't get wet.
 Radiator Springs
Lincoln asked that I take this picture and text it to Daddy who was back at the hotel having a nice relaxing day.
Our car won the race. I love that the boys are starting to get tall enough for us to see them in these types of pictures.

Up in the Sun Wheel in Disney's CA Adventure

Logan and Grammy on the jellyfish ride. Since Logan is afraid of heights I'm always so proud of him for going on this ride.
We took a little break in the day to run around the trails in DCA. They did rock climbing, zip line and the slides.
This was the boys first time on Tower of Terror. I told them what the ride was like and they insisted on going. This was the first trip they were both tall enough to go.  Logan was so excited until we got into line and then he started to worry.  He asked me, "did you go on this before?" I said, yes. He said, "did you died?" It was really cute and sad that he was so scared. At one point he tried to leave but I held him and talked him through it until we loaded.  After the ride was over he immediately asked to go again.  They LOVED it!...as I knew they would.
They were so proud of themselves after it was over for being so brave.
I win the best mom of the year award for going on the rocket ride with them. It is the ride I absolutely hate the most....you just go in circles.  Logan wanted to go so badly but isn't tall enough to go alone. I had to close my eyes the entire time and think happy thoughts.
We watched the fireworks from Tomorrowland at the end of the evening. I couldn't believe we made it all day. We opened the park and essentially closed the park that night.
A trip to Downtown Disney isn't complete unless there is a stop at the Lego store. The boys had birthday money to spend so for them, this was the perfect ending to the fabulous day we had.
