I have heard kids Christmas concerts take a bad wrap over the years but I always look forward to when I get to go watch them. Maybe it's the arts loving stage mom in me that gets me going but I love it. I want to be early to get a good seat near the front. I take a million pictures and I cry every year regardless of what they sing. This year it was nice because both boys grades were singing on the same night. It was a little hectic but nice that we only have to get dressed up and get to CCV once that week. This year was by far their best concert. I'm sure it has to do with them getting older but they also got a new music teacher this year and she is much more organized and has a better way with the kids. They were all more prepared than in previous years.
Dang handsome boys I must say.
I hate to brag...but...
Daddy and Lincoln hanging out ready to watch brother perform.
Logan did a great job of looking at us during most of the concert so even though he was in the far back, it was pretty easy to see his big cute cheesy smile.
Logan and his teacher Ms. Farrell.
Lincoln's class hanging out in the holding area pre-show.
Lincoln is holding the 'L' up nice and tall, except I couldn't see his face when he held it.
My favorite part of the show was when the students signed the words to Silent Night. The little boy standing in the very front is in Lincoln's class. His mother is totally deaf. She was sitting right in the front row with the interpreter. The interpreter didn't interpret because the kids were signing. His mother lit up with joy and pride and she watched her son and the others sign. Tears began quickly flowing down her cheeks. Then I began to cry. It was incredibly beautiful and touching. Maybe because I have a soft spot for sign language and the deaf community but there were plenty of wet cheeks in the room, including a few of the students. It was a moving sight to see and feel.
