December 26th - December 27 in Kauai - Gaylord's Plantation

The day after Christmas Tutus flew into Kauai so we headed to the airport to pick them up. We got them settled at the hotel and went to see a movie at the old theater (the only theater) in town. The boys were a bit perplexed as to why the theater looked the way it did. No stadium seating. No reclining chairs. Barely enough leg room to let someone pass without having to stand up. It was quite the experience for them to take that trip back in time. We watched the Star Wars movie for the second time which the boys loved. By this time I was starting to get sick. Coming down with symptoms of a cold and cough. Little did I know, that would be the start of an six week sickness.
Since we didn't get to go to Duke's on Christmas, we decided to go to celebrate with Tutus.
The next day we spent the day at Gaylord's Plantation. We rode the train around the property, fed the animals, the boys made pottery and had a delicious lunch out on the patio. It was a bit rainy and gloomy but we had a very memorable day.
We were lucky enough to sit right on the balcony closest to the water.
Logan was in heaven with all of the train signs and tracks.

Eating the best ever coconut pineapple ice cream pie.
Logan loved feeding and chasing the pigeons at the beach on our walks.
