Say goodbye to our resort.
We were in the Maui building.
The grounds of the property were spectacular and the location right on the beach couldn't have been much better.
One last time to take in the sound of the crashing waves, salty air and the little sun that was out.
After landing in Oahu we rented a suburban to carry all of us together in one car. It was quite the show watching the three guys try to fit all of our luggage and all eight passengers in the car but we made it work!
We checked in the Marriott Waikiki right on the beach.
Logan found a pretty relaxing place to wait in the lobby while we were checking in.
To make it easy on ourselves, we ate dinner at the Marriott buffet for the first night. We were treated to this picturesque view of the sunset during dinner. I know it looks like a post card but the was actually our reality for a brief moment.
Good thing we planned to walk a lot during our trip because the dessert bars were filled with yummy goodness and were very tempting. The boys mostly liked the chocolate covered strawberries.
