I Love Vacation!

I love to have time off work and be in vacation mode.  I've been really excited to do projects, spend more day time with the family and to not have the stresses of work during the holidays.  We've been doing a few projects or activities everyday.  Monday Ricky and I got to go to the outlet mall for the first time.  It was so nice to explore new things and to have a few hours to spend with him during the day.  We had a great time together.

This morning we got to go to Lincoln's school for the Christmas party.  I got to help him decorate a gingerbread (it was actually graham crackers) house.  I loved being able to be there and participate with him. There was a short break in between when the party finished and when school was over so Ricky decided he wanted to take me for a donut and hot chocolate.  I think the last time we went into a donut shop was a couple years ago.  I know it was only a donut but the spontaneous idea and the few minutes with him to sit and talk, sure was a sweet treat and fun adventure for me.

Tonight I had my first USTA Flex League tennis match in Scottsdale.  I'm playing with a different partner for this league than I do for my normal one and we haven't practiced much together. We ended up playing well together and having a great night.  We won 6-2, 7-5.  We have 9 more matches to go.  Hopefully they all go this well!

Bottom line is, I like my job but I love not working!  Time away from work during the holidays is something I look forward to every year.
The house was put together with sugar before school started.  We just had to decorate it.
Lincoln was very particular about what candies he chose to put on.  It went like this...one for the hosue, one in my mouth, one for the house, one for my mouth...
The finished product.  I was very proud of him and it was great to see his creative mind in action.
My sweet hubby with a sweet treat!
