Spring Break Trip - Day 2

We work up bright and early Monday morning excited for a magical day in Disneyland. The boys were wearing their new matching Mickey shirts and were happy as could be. We got to the main entrance right at park opening. We knew it was going to be a busy day so we hit all the big rides first thing in the morning.

Within the first two hours we had been on Space Mountain, Star Tours, Big Thunder twice, Haunted Mansion and Indiana Jones. We ate a quick lunch at Bengal BBQ and headed to Toon Town. The boys don't remember ever being in Toon Town so the was a fun and interesting for them. We walked through Mickey's house, rode the kiddie roller coaster and the Roger Rabbit ride.

The afternoon was spent without Grammy because she took Grandpa to the doctor but we saw the Magical Map show, rode Small World, Autopia, and spent a couple hours in the Star Wars Launch Bay playing games and meeting characters.

The evening was experiencing the Tiki Room (with a Dole Whip), Buzz Lightyear ride, shopping, and eating dinner on the parade route as we waited for the electrical parade. By this time we were all exhausted. We had walked ten miles and were ready to hit the sack. We ended our thrilling, memory filled day with a ride in the very front of the Monorail with the driver. That is always a special treat for Logan.
From the top of the Mickey & Friends parking structure we looked out over the edge to the construction of the new Star Wars Land.

Main Street first thing in the morning.
I was terrified to let Lincoln ride alone but he insisted. I made him ride in front of us and I went with Logan. I'm certain I was more scared than they were and not of the ride...but of something happening to them.
 Fun times in ToonTown.

Goofy loved them and gave them lots of kisses and hugs.
Small World was a nice break from the heat and the crowds.

Darth Vader was a little intimidating. The boys weren't quite sure what to do. Didn't know if they should hug him or keep their distance and just say hi.

Logan's souvenir for the trip was this remote control mouse droid. He had to wait until the end of the day to buy it which made for a long night since he asked for it about every ten minutes. I'm glad he found something he could be so excited about.
This is the first time we'd even seen Boba Fett in the Parks. The boys were pretty excited to see him.
I believe this is Lincoln's first time riding Autopia all by himself. He said his foot got tired of pushing the gas peddle the entire time but he did a great job.
Logan and I followed behind Lincoln. I pushed the gas and Logan took control of the wheel for us.
We actually got to go to a private meet and greet and it ended up being Darth Vader again. The boys were great about getting some more pictures with him.
It's not a trip to Disneyland unless you can be overcharged for a churro that gets smaller every year. It was worth it though to see happy smiling boys with cinnamon sugar all over their faces.
Hanging out waiting for the Electrical Parade to start.
While Grammy and Lincoln held our spots on the parade route, Logan and I snuck over to Casey Jr. and took a ride on the train.
I can't remember if the boys had ever seen the light parade before. Maybe when they were babies and it was in DCA but this time I think they will remember it. It's a pretty magical parade.
Last ride of the night was the Monorail to Downtown Disney.
